Here is the finished holiday dress + the accessories I made to match. Since it was such a simple design I thought they were really important in bringing it together.
As I said in my last post, the dress was made from six yards of red velvet. The panels were draped on my dress form, then sewn to a heavily boned “base” layer which supports the bust and keeps everything in place!
The gown is paired with a staff – made from a dead tree with had in our backyard, then piled with Christmas decorations. As well as a matching headpiece and necklace, which I also made.
