At this point the only people who’re Pewdiepie stans are passively racist.
Like that was obvious to people in the know that being anti-Semitic for shock humor isn’t satire, it’s just anti-semitism. But that situation is somehow so abstract for some people that they can make the logical leaps to call it “satire.”
But you can’t tell me some white dude who when in a “heated gaming moment” shouts racial slurs doesn’t have some deep seeded racism.
From a Linguistics perspective, people don’t just “accidentally” drop language. When you swear, or let slip a turn of phrase in that heat of the moment, you’re still relying on your existing vocab. Because it’s so instant your brain doesn’t have time to think twice, it will grab something familiar.
I’d bet money on him having used that word before offline. If you never use the N word then, unless you have Tourette’s or something, it’s hardly going to be the first word that jumps into your head and rolls off your tongue when you lose your temper.
