I love how a film that’s about a closeted boy manages to get over 8 million views in two days, was trending number 1 on YouTube and other social media platforms, won multiple awards, and has gotten viewers and critics BEGGING for a feature film, yet homophobes still have the AUDACITY to say “Nobody wants to watch queer romance.”
THE DRAGON PRINCESS, aka what I’ve been working on for the past month :’)
I wanted to do a short, experimental comic with these characters to get a feel for them before going for something bigger and I’m pretty proud of the result! Also because of that, any critique is SUPER appreciated, just hmu on my ask!
Me in 6th-grade history class: It’s pretty weird how the USA has been in the moral right in every single armed conflict in its entire war-torn history, but I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles in the greatest nation on earth.
Dealing with
executive dysfunction and ADHD becomes so much easier when you stop trying to
do things the way you feel like you should
be able to do them (like everyone else) and start finding ways that
actually work for you, no matter how “silly” or “unnecessary”
they seem.
For
years my floor was constantly covered in laundry. Clean laundry got
mixed in with dirty and I had to wash things twice, just making more
work for myself. Now I just have 3 laundry bins: dirty (wash it
later), clean (put it away later), and mystery (figure it out later).
Sure, theoretically I could sort my clothes into dirty or clean as
soon as I take them off and put them away straight
out of the dryer, but
realistically that’s never going to be a sustainable strategy for me.
How
many garbage bins do you need in a bedroom? One? WRONG! The correct
answer is one within arms reach at all times. Which for me is three.
Because am I really going to
get up to blow my nose when I’m hyperfocusing? NO. In
allergy season I even have
an empty kleenex box for “used
tissues I can use again.”
Kinda gross? Yeah. But less gross than a
snowy winter landscape of dusty germs on my
desk.
I
used to be late all the time
because I couldn’t find my house key. But it costs $2.50 and 3
minutes to copy a key, so now there’s one in my backpack, my purse,
my gym bag, my wallet, my desk, and hanging on my door. Problem
solved.
I’m
like a ninja for getting pout the door past reminder notes without noticing. If I really don’t want to forget something, I make a
physical barrier in front of my door. A
sticky note is a lot easier to walk past than a two foot high
cardboard box with my wallet on top of it.
Executive dysfunction is always going to cause challenges, but often half the struggle is trying to cope by pretending not to have executive dysfunction, instead of finding actual solutions.
The worst trick a childhood anxiety disorder pulls is, you spend your early years being applauded for being so much more mature than your peers, because you aren’t disruptive, you don’t want any kind of attention, you don’t express yourself, you keep yourself to yourself – this makes you a pleasure to have in class, etc etc – and you start to believe it’s virtue. But you’re actually way behind your peers in normal social development, and who knows if you can ever catch up.
Scientists invented fabric that makes

cell fibers with materials that generate
power from movement. It could be
used in “tents, curtains, or wearable
garments,” meaning we’d virtually

Y’all are fucking idiots. Clean energy will NEVER be enough to replace the energy we have now. We’d have to tear down DOZENS of forests just to fit enough windmills and solar panels to get even a QUARTER (probably less, tbh) of the energy we can produce now.
Yeah, sure, when they’ve already calculated that a few square miles of panels in the empty ass Arizona desert could power the whole nation. But ok, fracking and the diminishing petroleum supply is worlds better.
Nevermind that windmills are often most efficient off the coast. There they take up no land, impact no trees, don’t pollute the water, and are conveniently located where winds are often strongest anyway.
And solar panels can literally be built into roofs of buildings and in empty areas like deserts. The sun strikes the Earth with the same amount of energy in an hour that our civilization uses in a year.
But yeah, it would be impossible for us to ever have enough energy from clean sources.
Durr hurr technology is bad and I would rather light shit on fire than have clean energy
I can also testify to the Arizona desert being empty ass. And the California desert. And the Nevada desert.
The fact that anyone can believe a limited amount of dinosaur oil is more plentiful and efficient than moving air or fucking sunlight is proof that entire populations can be completely brainwashed.
I live in the high desert of Oregon and nearly every new building and house in this tiny fucking town is made of solar panels. Yes, roofs made of solar panels. The homeowners will never need to pay an electric bill. BTW solar panels are fucking CHEAP. Oh, and if memory serves, only five square miles of solar panels in the Sahara Desert would provide enough electricity for half the world.
Denmark’s rows of wind turbines are cheap and look beautiful off the coastline. Also, they produce so much power that Denmark is energy independent and makes money by selling the excess power to Germany.
Also, the solar and wind power industries employ more workers than the coal industry. That’s not really that hard, because the coal industry has replaced most of its workers with robots – there are fewer coal miners in the US than there are people working for Arby’s.
States that have invested in these power sources are seeing a huge employment boom of jobs installing solar panels and working with turbines. And both jobs are much safer for the workers than mining coal, which is traditionally one of the deadliest jobs there is, both in the short and long terms.
Sun energy would give us up to 16.000 times the world needs. If we would use all of it

This video accurately displays what it is like to be black in America. It shows the conversations all black parents have with their kids to keep them safe and to encourage them to fight the racist society. And it’s heartbreaking that parents need to remind their kids that their “Black is beautiful”.Society needs to change and time has come to talk about this.
