If something like this happens with a medieval Arabic poet they usually justify it “It is just a different culture, even now in Arab countries male friends hug each other and walk holding hands” or “they could use male forms for female in poetry”(that’s true, they still do, but when the author writes “oh how wonderful it is in men’s hammam”, oh “how beautiful is the body of a young man”)

Bonjour everyone, it’s time for my claim for @aphabriefhistoryoftime! My claim was the German revolution 1848/1849, and instead of focusing solely on the bloodshed that came with it, I wanted to portray Prussia’s personal struggle some more and the hopes projected on him – which he would go on to not just disappoint but crush. So slightly more “abstract” approach that I took here.
The historic background is that in 1848, many German states had their own revolutions, including Prussia, in which the German people demanded a unified Germany. Chiefly among them was Baden which held out the longest with democratic demands alongside the national ones, but others were quite accepting of constitutional monarchy and looked towards Prussia as the leading force of this ‘Germany’. And for a moment it looked as though it could work–
but Prussia went back on concessions made towards its population and brutally beat back revolutions. Baden had to surrender in order to prevent a massacre at the hands of the Prussian military.

As someone that has grown up surrounded by beaches and done surf life saving, I know how the sea works. Lots of people dont. Every summer multiple tourists die here because they don’t respect the sea, if you’re going to the coast, here’s a thing I saw on Facebook.

Here’s the problem with your statement: Being inspired by something does not equate to causing something. You’re using the “Slippery Slope” logical fallacy (which, ironically, is a favorite amongst overzealous fundamentalist conservatives). By your logic, you’re placing the blame for an incident of a child jumping off the roof in the 90′s on Wile E. Coyote.
TL;DR: Not everyone who reads fiction even has the ability to act out in ways they know are morally wrong: A well-adjusted person (including most with lower-functioning empathy) knows and understands the consequences for such behavior. They are still able to connect their actions to how they may affect others, which–in turn–keeps those actions in check. The people that do act out inappropriately are already broken, and would act out regardless of whatever they see or hear (especially if they are already into or past adolescence, as the majority of brain growth takes place from infancy to early preschool).

to expand on this: as rescue teams were racing to save those kids and their coach, elon musk decided to use the crisis as a PR stunt.
he tweeted about how he was going to send his engineers to Thailand in order to look like a hero. he threw out ludicrous rescue ideas, including a 3 mile long tube and a small submarine, neither of which had a chance in hell of working.
the diver being discussed here is Vern Unsworth. he’s a 63-year-old British caver who lives near and has extensive knowledge of the Tham Luang cave system.
Unsworth is the reason the boys were found: he used his knowledge of the caves and deductive reasoning to pinpoint where he thought the team would be. when rescuers followed his directions, they found the boys only 200 meters away.
Unsworth also called in the British divers who would go on to first locate the team. he didn’t know these boys, but he remained outside of thebTham Luang cave system for the full 17 days in order to assist in their rescue anyway.
he has since rightfully called out Musk for trying to exploit the situation for attention and explained why Musk’s suggestions would never have even worked. Musk responded by throwing a tantrum and, based on literally NOTHING, calling Unsworth a pedophile.
